Notification to artists on or before Monday, April 6, 2025.

Hand-delivery of artwork: April 14, from Noon -12 PM

Opening and Awards Reception: Thursday, April 17, from 6 PM – 8 PM

Closing Reception and Art Pickup: Saturday, May 31, from 6 PM – 8 PM

You must wait until 8 PM to remove your work,

 or pick it up on Sunday, June 1,  from Noon – 2 PM

Event Description:

"Woof, Meow, Chirp & Slither"

Calling all artists! We invite you to submit work for "Woof, Meow, Chirp & Slither," a vibrant exhibition celebrating the animal kingdom's beauty, personality, and diversity. From loyal dogs and mischievous cats to colorful birds and mesmerizing reptiles, this show is a tribute to our beloved animal companions and the wild creatures that inspire us.

Theme:
Artworks should capture the essence of animals—whether through realism, abstraction, whimsy, or symbolism. We welcome pieces that showcase pets, wildlife, or imaginative creatures that reflect the special connection between humans and animals.

Media Accepted:
Painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, digital art, and other 2D or 3D works.

All work must be for sale. NFS art is not allowed. NO GICLÉES will be accepted. All pieces larger than 30" wide must have d-rings 1/3 of the way down from the top of the stretcher, as a hanging system will be used.

Juried by the Artists of Palm Beach County Jurying Committee

SALES: Members will receive 75% of the gross sales.

Please price your work accordingly. No price changes will be accepted once submitted.

Terms:

1.  Applications are only accepted through the website. No late entries are accepted.

2.  Please do not submit work that is not ready to hang.

3.  Work previously accepted in an APBC exhibit cannot be submitted again. However, it may be resubmitted if it was not previously accepted.

4. Entry fees are not refundable.

5. The decision of the jurors is final.

6. Make sure the uploaded JPG images match the names listed on the entry form.

7. No work larger than 48" on any dimension

8. We recommend that paper media be covered with Plexiglas or non-breakable material.

9. Unframed works must be finished on all sides - no staples showing.

10. No damaged frames or mats; mats must be clean.

11. All installation methods, such as wire attached to frames, must be secure. All 2D pieces MUST be wired on the back, with no sawtooth hangers.

12. All entries must be labeled on the back of the work with the artist's name, title, medium, size, and price.

13. All hanging works that are more than 20 pounds will not be eligible.

14. APBC, Inc. will do its best to prevent theft, loss, breakage, or other damage but is not financially responsible for reimbursement of lost or damaged work.

 

LABELING YOUR JPGS:

• JPG images of your work should be no larger than 3 MB each

• Please label the JPG file with the artist's name, title, and size (h x w).

• Example: Shane Hulbert-Last Stand-30 x 24.jpg. The standard is to list the height and then the width.​

• If the work is framed, please include the frame in the size. However, the jpg should not include the frame for jurying.

• ​ IF FILES ARE NOT LABELED CORRECTLY, THE WORK MAY BE REJECTED.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: The undersigned hereby agrees to release and discharge APBC, its directors, members, exhibition space, owners, employees, and contractors from any responsibility for damage or loss of any kind on all works submitted for the “Woof, Meow, Chirp & Slither” exhibition.
